[ADD-ONS] How can I learn more about what the different Add-Ons include?

Our Add-Ons include a wide range of hard-to-find Boss Monster card packs and accessories! When you’re making your pledge, you can choose Add-Ons that include images and descriptions of each item. Details about these items will also be available in the BackerKit pledge manager, in case you want to add or modify selections at that time.

[ADD-ONS] How many sleeves do I need for the Starter Set pledge? Do the Boss Monster sleeves work with Boss Monster Junior?

We recommend 5 sleeve packs to fully sleeve the Starter Set! The sleeves should not be used with Boss Monster Junior, as the card backs are different. Any generic clear sleeve pack will work with Boss Monster Junior! Those cards will be sized 63 x 88 mm.

[ADD-ONS] Is there anything new in the add-ons besides Boss Monster Junior?

The only thing new in the add-ons is the Combo Pack. Everything else in the add-ons was available during the Super Boss Monster 1 Kickstarter campaign. We have seen a couple of comments with suggestions for new add-ons that we are considering adding later i the campaign.

[EXCLUSIVES] What is the "Dice Age" Pack?

Much like the Kickstarter Pack from the original Super Boss Monster Kickstarter, the Dice Age Pack includes promo cards that are too cool for the retail edition of Super Boss Monster 2! Or at least too silly. At launch, there are 6 cards in the pack, but we can expand that during the campaign by unlocking stretch goals!

[EXCLUSIVES] What is the free First Player Token?

Any pledge on the Kickstarter or Backerkit Pledge Manager store will receive a free Super Boss Monster 2 themed First Player Token! This includes $1 pledges that have a physical product with their order.

[PLEDGE] Is there a Super Boss Monster pledge tier sheet detailing each item's contents?

Yes! You can view that spreadsheet here. It lists everything you’ll get with your pledge, plus all the non-pledge items that are available.

[PLEDGE MANAGER] What is a Pledge Manager?

All crowdfunding projects require a central hub to store everyone’s pledge information, usually called the “pledge manager” or “PM.” At Brotherwise, we’ve chosen BackerKit as our pledge manager for Super Boss Monster 2. In BackerKit, you’ll confirm your current address (which you can always change later!), pay shipping, make sure your pledge looks right, add on more fun add-ons, and pay for any outstanding charges from Kickstarter. An important note for those new to crowdfunding: You paid for your pledge in Kickstarter, but that charge did not include shipping. Pledge Manager surveys are sent about 1-2 months after the campaign ends.

[PLEDGE MANAGER] Will $1 pledges have access to the Pledge Manager?

Yes, $1 pledges will have access to the BackerKit pledge manager and will be able to change their pledge to a higher tier if they wish.

[PRODUCTS] Is Boss Monster Junior compatible with Boss Monster and Super Boss Monster?

Boss Monster Junior is a separate gaming experience and is not compatible with Boss Monster or Super Boss Monster. It teaches many of Boss Monster’s core concepts in a more accessible format, so it works both as a standalone experience or as a way to introduce kids to the original version of Boss Monster!

[PRODUCTS] What is different about the new town board?

The new town board has new Tavern action spots, along with a new snowy look. The base game of Super Boss Monster 2 includes a cardboard version of the town board, and a neoprene version is included in some pledge levels and as an add on! If you want to use your old neoprene mat from Super Boss Monster 1, though, you can! We’re giving backers a cardboard overlay that can be used with your original mat for regular or solo play!

[PRODUCTS] What is needed to play with 5-6 Players?

The only thing technically needed is a copy of the Crash Landing expansion to go with Super Boss Monster or Super Boss Monster 2. You’ll need to use placeholders for the meeples, though! You can also get the neoprene extension board and the 5-6 player bundle for the blinged-out experience.

[PRODUCTS] Do we need extra dice to play with 5-6 players in Super Boss Monster 2?

You do not! The dice colors are broken down by room type, but the colors are entirely cosmetic. We’ve got white to use on your Cleric rooms, black dice for Thief rooms, red for Fighters, and blue for mages. And we’ve saved ourselves the color green in case we need to do Crash Landing Explorer rooms some day!

[SHIPPING] Will the already available titles ship separately?

No, all of the items you purchase during the campaign and the pledge manager will ship at the same time. This is to reduce the carbon footprint as well as save our backers on increased shipping.

We currently are not able to ship to Ukraine, Israel, or Russia.

[SHIPPING] How much will I pay for shipping various add-ons?

Add-On shipping costs will be available in the Backerkit pledge manager. In general, they will ship by weight. You can estimate the ranges by looking at the differences in shipping costs between the different physical pledge levels.

Last updated: September 19, 2025 07:48

[TARIFFS] How does Brotherwise plan to handle the US tariffs?

Brotherwise has built our financial plan for this Kickstarter with the expectation that we will absorb all tariff costs for any affected US orders, assuming tariffs remain at or in the vicinity of their current rate (30% for games imported from China). We reserve the right to revisit the need for delays or moderate tariff upcharges should the situation change drastically between now and fulfillment. However, we have absorbed tariff increases for previous campaigns, while keeping projects on schedule, and our first priority is providing a positive experience for the people who play our games.

[STRETCH GOALS] How can I get the upgraded extension mat with the new snowy artwork?

The “Freezing Over” stretch goal unlocked new, snowy artwork for the 5-6 player extension mat for the Town Board. That artwork will be included in both the paper and neoprene versions of the mat. The paper extension mat is included in all copies of Super Boss Monster 2. The neoprene extension mat will be double-sided with the original SBM1 artwork and the icy new SBM2 artwork. That double-sided neoprene mat will be included in every Big Box shipped with this campaign, or available as a $15 add-on. Please note the art doesn’t impact gameplay; this update is purely cosmetic.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
